?have you ever seen a robe as gorgeous, as luxurious?
?whisper pink with absolutely stunning floating swan motifs
?incredible plush quality, the best i’ve seen in this era robe
?long length//standard tie belt//slash pockets//shawl collar wrap style
?USA-made original tag//lovingly cared for and stored safely all these years
?in lovely condition; though as with anything vintage, please expect wear commensurate with age/previous use
?you can tell this has not been worn much because it has what I’d consider minimal pilling, which is common to all of these cotton blends
❤now for some fun history you may not know…
❤way back, Canyon Group/ Damze used to obtain their chenille from a manufacturer they later acquired called “Soft Goods”
❤the RN you see on this tag beneath the “Bergdorf Goodman” text traces to Soft Goods
❤and if you look at some other early vintage Canyon labels, you will see the very same RN
❤but why the Bergdorf label and not Canyon’s?
❤because back then, they used to sell their robes to high end dept stores
❤where they were then branded, as this one was, with the store label
❤newer robes have a different RN that traces directly to Canyon and not the old Soft Goods
❤this was confirmed in the (wonderful and highly recommended!) book, Southern Tufts by Ashley Callahan
❤if your garment has a tag with an RN # and you’re curious, just trace it on the FTC site
